About this Talk
You grabbed a character from the ether and want them to do all the awesome things. Then you hit a snag. They won't do what you want. Knowing your character is half the battle.
When you don't understand their motivation, what makes them tick, it becomes a struggle. Many of the books on characterization haven't been updated in over a decade. Times have change and the archetypes have shifted. Based off some of my favorite books on the subject, I created my own updates and simplified it. And once you have all that data, where do you put it? There are so many different platforms and old school ways to record them.
There will be short exercises to create your grid that can be done separately. One for your protagonist and antagonist. Cards with the grid results are available for download as PDFs for interested participants.
