He has had 70 books published both under his name and as a ghostwriter, including the Writer's Guide to Hollywood, the Complete Idiot's Guide to Screenwriting (including in Russian), and How To Write What You Want & Sell What You Write. He is a master of how-to, and even wrote the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Making Money with Craigslist. As an editor & packager, he put together The Ultimate Guide to Video Game Writing & Design, a best-seller that has become the “bible” of video game creation.

He's had many biographies published, including This Is My Song: A Memoir, by music legend Patti Page with Skip Press. As an editor, he has helped upwards of 100 people write their memoir, and has dozens of five-star attestations on Reedsy that prove his knowledge of the genre. Many of his clients became award-winners and best-sellers, even if they had never written a book before his tutelage.
